Insights from the PHUSE Leadership Summit 2024. Bringing together 40 leaders from 19 key companies, the recent PHUSE Leadership Summit in Hyderabad explored the future of India's pharmaceutical sector. Discussions centred on the evolving clinical trials landscape and the impact of emerging technologies like AI and ML on pharma operations. Emphasis was placed on continuous learning and adaptation, alongside the need for strong analytical skills and technical expertise. Addressing talent competition, joint training programs were highlighted to enhance skilled professional availability. The summit laid the groundwork for innovation and efficiency in the pharmaceutical industry, with outcomes expected to shape strategic decisions in workforce planning and technology integration. Exciting updates from PHUSE Working Groups… Please welcome our new Optimizing the Use of Data Standards Working Group Leads – Sandra VanPelt Nguyen and Edwin van Stein, who will be joining Janet Low and Jane Lozano. Sandy VanPelt Nguyen holds over two decades of experience in clinical research, specialising in data management, statistical programming, and data standards implementation across various therapeutic areas. Her leadership in PHUSE projects and industry conferences demonstrates her commitment to optimising data standards through collaboration. Edwin Van Stein also has over 20 years of diverse experience in pharma, CROs, and academia. His active participation in PHUSE and leadership roles at GSK highlight his dedication to advancing industry standards and fostering collaboration.
